There are several aiming techniques. We will not recommend one more than another. On the other hand you should know that the first two, called "Apache" and "Mongolian" are used with bows without sights, the "Swedish" techniques with bows fitted with a sight.
"Apache" aiming is ideal for starting as it is more natural. It is reserved for shooting at a short distance. The archer arms the bow by lowering the nock under the eye and using the entire length of the arrow to aim for the centre of the target.
The "Mongolian" aiming - the archer arms the bow by the lowering the index of the string hand to the corners of the mouth. Align the arrowhead and the centre of the target face.
"Swedish" aiming. Arming with anchor of the forefinger under the chin, aim with the sight only.
