How to adjust your sight.

How to adjust your sight.

The use of the sight is recommended when the archer is learning the basics of their shooting position and movements.

All of the sights have a system of adjustment more or less but the principle for adjusting it, ie adjusting the shooting direction, is exactly the same.

A single rule to remember: always move the sight, the aperture disc of the sight in the direction of the error.

Example:

My arrow reaches the target too high, I move the slider of my sight over the gauge, so by aiming at the target centre once more, my arrow will arrive at a lower point. Refine the adjustment up until you obtain the desired result.

Conversely if my arrow is too low off the target, I lower the slider of my sight and aim once more at the target centre; my arrow will be higher.

We operate in the same way for lateral adjustment.

If the arrow reaches too far to the right = I adjust my aperture disc to the right = as a result, my arrows reach more to the left...
